10 facts about bailey that you ought to know

Bailey, a miniature schnauzer, is the best pet and companion we have ever had. She's part of our family. Here's 10 facts you must know about Bailey and you'll understand why we love her so much.

1) Bailey's favorite bedtime CD is "Disney's Greatest Love Songs" and her favorite track is "He's a Tramp" (reason: there's dog barking in the songs).

2) Bailey's favourite food is toast bread and apple. She can't stand it when the toaster goes off with a 'ding' sound when the toast is ready, she'll start trembling and salivating until you share your toast with her.

3) Bailey has lotsa nicknames, it ranges from "vacuum cleaner", "fatty bombom", "fei mui", "lazy bumbum", "Xiao pengyou"to "beepbeep". Call her any of the above name, she'll respond. My sister, the proud owner of Bailey likes to call her "B", as in the initial of Bailey, not shortform for baby though.

4) Bailey remember the name of all her toys. She has "honker" and "Bert" (beanie baby, characters from Sesame Street), rope (she has wrecked quite a number of them in the past), bunny (purple bunny soft toy), bee-boo (squeaky toy that make a sound when you press it), lion, bearbear, etc etc etc. She simply love to play!

5) Unlike most dogs, Bailey loves car rides! She rides from home to my mom's place everyday and return home at night when her duty is over (P/S. She works as the security guard at my mom's place. Her salary? apples!)

6) Like most toddlers, Bailey has a pillow that she been sleeping with since she join our family. It's like her security pillow. Strangely, her pillow doesn't smell, it has baby's scent actually! My sis actually loves to sniff Bailey's pillow! What a weirdo!

7) Bailey snores in her sleep. Sometimes she wails n cries in her sleep when she has bad dreams. Oh! We also caught her drooling in her sleep one time! Must have been dreaming about a scrumptious spread of yummy food in that dream! ha ha...

8) Bailey is very adventurous when it comes to food. She is never picky about food. From mooncakes, nasi briyani with curry chicken, ayam percik, chewing gum to washing detergent and ant pesticides, she'll help herself with anything she fancy when she is left at home alone.

9) Bailey is a sucker for air-conditioning. Whenever we turn on the air conditioning, she'll find herself the best spot where she can get direct air condition. At night, she will only sleep soundly when the air-conditioning is turned on. Don't bother about energy saving and sleep with fan on instead, she'll toss and turn the whole night!

10) Bailey has great memory. If we tell her we bought something for her, she'll keep following us around, pestering us until we give her what she was promised. Most of the time, we'll buy her a piece of rock melon when we packed lunch from outside.

My mom, who never like dogs, has grown to love Bailey so much that she take afternoon nap with Bailey lying next to her. She's probably the best dog in the world, in OUR world at least. As my mom always says, "No more stock already. This is the last one" - the last of the best dog in the world! =)

onePLUSone

This is what I am working on right now with the help of a couple of friends. Ideas struck me one sleepless night and more ideas keep pouring in ever since. My mind tend to be at its most active prior to me falling asleep. It's the time whereby my mind function at its best. Alright alright. I admit I'm a night person, never a morning person. So, that explains!

A social networking/lifestyle club for the singles sound like a fun thing to do. With a vision of organizing a series of outdoor/lifestyle events, I hope to provide a ground for singles to get to know the other eligible singles out there, while doing something meaningful, fun and interesting.

The name onePLUSone struck me when a friend in JB told me about this group called 'plusplus' on facebook. Right away, onePLUSone starts to flash in my mind! Imagine, onePLUSone, one single plus another single, that would be equal to one couple, and two less lonely people in the world (oh! how cheezy is that? Copied from the lyrics of Air Supply's song! haha). How perfect is that?

Anyway, I like the name onePLUSone, I like the tagline 'connecting the missing dots in your life', I like the entire concept! I could not care less if it if is going to be successful or not. I'm just going to enjoy the process of organizing this! So far, we have 4 confirmed attendees! Good enough for a start though! Woohoooo.... I'm so excited!

of twilight, new moon and more....

There's a sense of emptiness in me right now. It's not caused by loneliness. Neither is it caused by boredom. It's simply because I always feel that way after reading a good book or watching a good movie.

"Twilight" was a gift from my sister in Australia to younger sister. She ordered it online for her because my younger sister has always has this fascination with vampires, ghost, monsters, etc etc. However, she's not much into reading. So, when I have finished reading every single books I owned, and also my sister-in-law's collection, I started reading "Twilight". Geezzz. I got hooked on the book ever since. I even went to the mall immediately right after I finished "Twilight" just to get its sequel - "New Moon".

And now, I have finished "New Moon", there is a sense of emptiness overtaking me. Arghhh. I need to read the next book a.s.a.p! Or I'll die... while waiting for the book to arrive! (note: my sister is ordering the rest of its collection online for me! yay!).

By the way, my younger sister still refused to read "Twilight". She said stories about vampire should be scary and horrifying. It shouldn't have anything to do with romance. Hrmmm.... duh! Fine! Don't read it then! You don't know what you are missing.....

Oh yeah, I found "New Moon" at the "Teenage Reading" corner at the book store. *blush* Now, I hope my friends don't mind me reading kids stuff! hahaha.... it's my secret indulgence, it makes me feel refresh, alive and Y-O-U-N-G! woohooooo..... nobody's stopping me! :)

the shocking truth

damn it! damn it! In a few months time, I'll be officially belong to the 'middle-aged' group!! I'd just realized it! Unbelievable. I mean I was still living life as an irresponsible adult, doing whatever my heart desires without having to worry about its consequences and now, in a blink of an eye, I'll be turning into middle-aged!?!? Omigosh! What has this world become!?

I reject! I object! I refuse! I do NOT want to turn middle-aged! Not even when there are visible sign of wrinkles showing around my eyes! Not when my metabolism rate is dropping so fast that I find it harder and harder to lose weight! And not when a 5-minute walk up hill makes my heart paces like there is no tomorrow! I simply reject!

Ummm... is there some kind of secret potion I could take to remain young as my life? Like those taken by the Chinese emperor in the thousand of years back? *sulk* I want to stay young F-O-R-E-V-E-R!!

and the wedding bell rings.....

Hah! This time round I wouldn't be bothered to explain why I have abandoned my blog for so long. Well, I figured if there is nothing exciting happening around, there is really no point in blogging just for the sake of blogging. This remained so until I received the news that a dear friend of mine from uni has decided to get married...and she is none other than ... *drumroll* - Ms. Ng Yem Wei! :)
Since she has literally rejects herself from the the magnificent invention of the internet (apart from work-related usage), I have taken the liberty to post some of her wedding photos for your viewing pleasure.

something to share....

Love....
is not about finding the right one
It's about creating the right relationship
Love...

It's about how much love u build till the end

I read this somewhere sometime ago and find it rather interesting.... what do you think?

reject. reject. reject.

I didn't make a wish at my recent birthday. I didn't celebrate Christmas. I do not have any resolution for the new year. I'm also not excited about Chinese New Year.

Why bother when wishes never come true? And why bother when there is no reason to call for a celebration?

I hereby declare that I reject the new year and any other festive season to come, until further notice.

The end.

lisa ono

I'm currently listening to: Lisa Ono's Best Collection. Stumbled upon her CD at a HMV store when I was in Hong Kong a few months ago. It caught my attention the moment I place the headphone on my ear at the store. My favourite song from this album is "The girl from Ipanema". And Bossa Nova... oh my! I heart heart heart heart Bossa Nova!

"The girl from Ipanema" by Lisa Ono

The original version by Astrud Gilberto in 1960's - always love original music video footage from the 60s & 70s

december 8th

Okay. It was my birthday. Big deal *not*. Some of my friends forgot about it. Some of them were out of town on holidays. And this year, there's no special someone to celebrate with me, just like the previous year. So, it's just like any other ordinary day and I try not to even remember it's my birthday. After all, it's quite embarassing to celebrate birthday at my age. Birthday are for the younger generation or the old folks, like how kids have birthday parties at MacDonald's, the 20-something having booze party at clubs or older folks having birthday celebration on their 60th, 70th and 80th birthday at a restaurant. People my age, or rather for me, birthdays are to be kept low profile.

Until a friend offered to buy me dinner. The 3 of us went to Monte's at Bangsar Shopping Complex for a decent Western dinner. Escargots, grilled salmon fillet, pina colado, this is the menu for my birthday fix.

Afterwhich, a friend had to go to a birthday party, and asked us to join him. Guess where was the birthday party? CLUB DE VEGAS! For those that don't have a clue where that is, it's a ktv with hostess! Hahahaha... damn! It's men's heaven and women's hell! We went irregardless and I regretted the moment I stepped in.

It's actually a decent birthday party. My friend is a mutual trust agent. The agency manager was celebrating his girlfriend's birthday and invited everyone from his agency. They were drinking bottles and bottles of Cordon Bleu wishkey like nobody's business. And the service staff there, oh my... their service is fantabulous! The hostess, damn! they are young and pretty. No wonder men sees these places as their heaven... Now I know!

No birthday cake, no birthday wish, no birthday present. It's just like any other ordinary day.

bailey - the princess

This is my sister's dog - Bailey. She can be so adorable. She posed on my sister's bed like a fluffy toy after my sister changed her sheets. How cute is that?
