I have finally decided to create another blog to house my chinese entries. My current blog is beginning to make me appeared like someone with a split personality as my English and Chinese entries are so different in style. Right now, I'm busy busy busy concentrating on my other blog which I'm still not prepared to reveal. So, to those who might be interested in reading my chinese blog, be patient.
I think I'm in love again.... with blogging! And who said language is not a beautiful thing? :)

i'm not an alholic
I noticed something weird recently. A lot of my friends has been sending me drinks with boozemail on Facebook. Does that means that I'm an alcoholic in the eyes of my friends. It really had me pondering for awhile. Am I really an alcoholic?
I starting drinking while in college. I was then staying with my cousin's family as they lived very close to the college I attended. My cousin-in-law enjoy drinking very much and would bring us out for a drink once in awhile at the country club where he joined as a member. Oh my. Drinks like Snowball, Screwdriver, etc got me so hooked.
Eventually when I went to further my studies in Australia, clubbing became a weekly affair which me and my friends never failed to go, irregardless of whether it is exam period. Those were really the days. We would be indulging ourselves in drinks like Flaming Lamborgini, Long Island Iced Tea, Illusion. I even received presents like a sign and certificate that says I'm an alcoholic from friends!
When I was working in Beijing years back, due to work requirement, I had to socialize with regulars sometimes and drink with them. So, drinking became compulsory instead of pleasure. Choices of drink also matured as I was then drinking bourbon whiskey and whiskey, no more fancy cocktails.
I stil enjoy drinking but I hate the effect of hangover. Once in awhile, I would still let my hair down and drink to my heart's content. We would be drinking by the bottles these days. No matter how much I enjoy drinking, I'm still not an alcoholic!
Alcoholic is someone who drinks everyday and get drunk everytime they drink. I don't do that. I just simply enjoy drinking and the companion of my friends when we go drinking, not forgetting the dancing part. I'm a dancing queen! hehe.... and by the way, don't buy me drinks on Facebook. I only want the real thing! :)

i am legend
It's time for a little update of my recent happenings. Moved into new home with my sister recently, which is not really that far from where I used to stay. Mom left for Perth to attend an old time friend's wedding and sister got posted to Bangkok for work for a month or so.
Therefore, new house minus my sis minus my mom equals me and my dog, Bailey (technically, she's my sister's dog but whenever she's not around, Bailey became "MY" dog. haha). There's no TV antenna at the new place, no cable TV, no telephone line, no internet access. Good thing I still have my first generation Playstation (almost an antique now considering PS has already came out with PS 3!), my laptop (good enough for my all time favourite Solitaire games), TV and DVD player (now I finally have the time to sit down and watch all my Korean drama).
Here's a rundown of what I do everyday.
Wake up in the morning -> feed my dog -> go back to sleep -> wake up -> do some house chores (if any) -> drive back to my mom's place with my dog -> watch cable tv -> do house chores (if any) -> take afternoon nap -> wake up -> walk my dog -> feed my dog -> buy takeaway for dinner -> drive home -> watch dvd/play PS/play Spider Solitaire -> Doze off
Pretty boring with minimal human contact, most of the time I only talk to my dog. Almost like Will Smith in "I am Legend" except there's no mutated monsters around. *Yawn* How Boring.
If only there are mutated monsters around to make my life more exciting.

coffee! coffee? coffee....
I love everything to do with coffee. I love coffee flavoured milk. I used to have so much of it when I was studying in Australia and was particularly fond of the one manufactured by Nestle during my 4-year stay in Beijing, it has the right amount of sweetness. My favourite ice-cream flavour is Mocha Almond Fudge, be it Baskin Robin, Anderson's of Denmark, or Bud's. I just simply love it, love it. I love coffee flavoured cookies, biscuits and snacks. I also used to love drinking Bailey's with milk. It sure sound like a healthy drink as milk is involved, the small dosage of alcohol makes it a perfect nightcap. Hang on, allow me to clarify, I'm not alcoholic, I just love how alcohol can induces sleep rather than relying on endless sheeps counting. Trust me, alcohol works better. And Oh Mama Mia, I love Tiramisu, so elegently tasteful. Or is is tastefully elegent? Ahh.. who cares?
Oh, I forgot to tell you the most crucial thing. I love everything coffee related, all except... COFFEE! Coffee gives me sleepless nights. The bitterness in coffee is horrible no matter how much sugar or milk you add in it. Sometimes back, hanging out at chic coffee joints like Starbucks and Coffee Bean is chic. I had very little choice there, Iced tea, Ice blended Chocolate, or once in a blue moon, I would like to act chic and order myself a Decaf-Skim milk-Caramel Machiato. That is really stretching my ultimate limit for coffee. Therefore, I hereby declared my hatred for coffee.
How ironic is that? Anyway, it's just so me, weird, unconventional and contradicting. It's nice to be 'unique'.

busy like a bee
It's been a busy busy month for me. I've been tied up with preparation for moving into the new place with my sister, furniture and lightings hunting, painting the walls, cleaning, yadda yadda yadda. Speaking of which, I still have not found the perfect lights for my room! arghhhh.... I've decided to paint my room with a deep shade of pink called "Russet Rose". How romantic is that? hehe... I like I like!
In the midst of that, my ex-colleague from Hong Leong Bank was getting married, so I had to spare some time to attend her bridal shower, morning ceremony and dinner. Could barely feel my arms at dinner caused I was too tired from painting the house. But it was good catching up with them again after 8 years!!!
Will post some pictures of my new place once everything is done. Till then, expect me to keep slacking off in updating my blog! hehe...

the city where the sun is in love with the land
I think I deserved to be spanked for being slacked in updating my blog. Here it goes, an overdue posting on my trip to Brisbane.
I was there recently with my cousin, Angie visiting my sister, Theresa. It's a city where the sun always shines and the sky is always blue. Over there, I woke up every morning to the sound of happy birds chirping in the backyard. It's so refreshing for my mind and my soul. Brisbane, it is indeed a very lovely city.
The trip was fun except it is too dry over there since Australia is practically a desert, and my skin got too dry and itchy. Ouch. On top of that, Queensland is having a level 5 water restriction due to little rainfall. So, we had to be very careful of water usage. Double ouch.
Anyway, here are some pictures I took in Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast.

Shopping @ Queen Street in the city (Note: the man behind me has gazillion of tattoos on his body!)

Sunshine Coast - lovely beach!

Aussie World @ Sunshine Coast

"Everybody do kungfu fighting! Hoo-hah! Oh Oh Oh Ohhhhh..."

Ahhh.. a lesson learnt on the way to the loo! hehe..

Oops! I did it again!?

Cute two-seater Harley! I wanna ride in it!

The "Big Pineapple" @ Sunshine Coast

Check out my new bf - the gingerbread man @ the Ginger Factory in Sunshine Coast

Gold Coast (Note: check out the guy behind me, he has piercing everywhere on his body! )

My dinner

My dessert! a must-have after every meal! can never get enough of ice-cream in Oz!

Simply divine! mouth watering Japanese cuisine!

Itsy bitsy cutesy Vespa in yellow. See how it matches my dress! hehe..
That pretty much sum up my trip in Brisbane. Left Brisbane for Perth after spending one week there. Spent another day in Perth and it's adios to Australia.
I still love Oz! I bet Oz loves me too! hahahaha....

day six in Perth
Here are the places I have visited today.
1) Annalakshmi, an Indian vegetarian restaurant by Swan River. It's a restaurant whereby you "eat to your heart's content and pay what your heart feels".

View from the restaurant, overseeing Swan River and Kings Park.

The Perth Bell Tower, by Swan River. It was built after I left Perth years ago.
2) Northbridge, where Chinatown and all the nightspots are located.

It was one of my favourite hangout place in Perth for supper and ice cream!

We used to buy CDs, newspaper and magazines from HK from this shop, and rent TVB's cantonese series here.
3) Burswood Casino

Tried our luck at Keno and slot machine and had a beer with my cousin, Angie. Never into gambling, cuz I have no talent, no luck, no whatsoever. Missed the dimsum at their Chinese restaurant though. Their jellyfish is to die for!

il gelato
Met up with my cousin, Kae Lim for gelato at Northbridge. It was 8 years ago when I last saw her and she was still in middle school then. Now, she's already 23 and working. It's unbelievable how time flies. Oh, did I tell you our birthdays fall on the same day? How bizarre? :)
We were planning to have Gelare ice cream with waffle since it's Tuesday and it's 50% off but it was too crowded so we went for gelato instead. Oh my gosh! Il Gelato, it's so much better than Gelare! Best gelato I've tasted so far! :)

Il Gelato @ Northbridge

Buy 1 free 1 every Tuesday night! Yipee!
My silly cousin, Kae Lim! Why am I blue? Blame on the crazy lightings!

rose rose I love you
My cousin, Angie brought me to Melville Nurseries, a rose garden today and I had a wonderful time. The little cafe there called Rose Heritage is heavenly, they even served drinks on ice cubes with rose petals in it. How romantic is that?
